Join the team: Research Fellow & Nexus Network Co-ordinator. Maternity cover post

This post is now closed. The Nexus Network is looking for a Research Fellow and Network Coordinator. This is a maternity cover post and will be based at the University of Sussex, UK.

Location: Science and Technology Policy Research (SPRU), School of Business, Management and Economics, at the University of Sussex, UK.

  • Post: Full time, fixed term (maternity cover, 8 months).
  • Salary range: starting at £31,342 and rising to £37,394 per annum.
  • Closing date for applications: 30 June 2015.
  • Expected interview date: 13 July 2015.
  • Expected start date:  21 September 2015.

 

The role

We are looking for a Network Coordinator to work closely with, and facilitate interactions between, members of the Nexus Network Core team (the team is based across the University of Sussex, University of East Anglia and Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership), to ensure that the Nexus Network fulfils its objectives.

The role also involves overseeing the management of a £500,000 grants scheme operated through the network; co-designing and delivering research on Nexus topics to contribute to the overall aims of the Nexus Network; and ensuring that the Nexus Network is at the forefront of global Nexus debates.

The successful candidate is likely to have (or be about to obtain) a relevant PhD or have equivalent research experience. They will also have experience of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary working, project management, running high profile events for a variety of stakeholders from across academia, policy, business and civil society, and writing communications for diverse audiences including via social media.
